The dove has been associated with motherhood and femininity. The Greek goddess Aphrodite and the Roman goddess Venus were both symbolically represented by doves. The Greeks used carrier pigeons to release the results of the Olympic games and to send messages about victories in their battle fields.

All our bronze items, are cast in Greece, using the traditional 'lost wax' method. As nothing is mass-produced, there will inevitably be slight variations in patination and coloring. Each piece is, therefore, unique.
